"Hello, what breed of horse would you buy for show jumping? When riding, do you let your feet sit there or put a bit of weight down in through your heel? Thanks." Rhys Hellon
Olympic bronze medallist Sharon Hunt replies: "It's difficult to be prescriptive about what breed of horse is best for show jumping - I think the key is to look for an athletic horse with a natural, scopey jump. Nevertheless, I personally think Warmbloods make good show jumpers. Regarding the second part of your question, for a strong lower leg and seat, you need to have a lot of weight going down into the heels.
Good luck with your riding!
Best wishes,
Sharon"
