Amy Stovold is one of the country’s leading dressage riders and has recently been selected by the World Class (2009-2011) Development Programme aiming for Olympic medals and top international competition.
Amy clinched her first national title since 2003 at Stoneleigh (17 September), heading the NFU Mutual intermediaire II riding her mother Maggi and Julia Jacob's Macbrian.
Continual success followed and the pair came second three times in the small tour to Carl Hester. Amy has been riding the 12-year-old 17.2hh son of Jan Brink's (SWE) Olympian Bjorsells Briar for four years.
"I love Macbrian's energy," she said. "He always wants to go forward and he's so generous in his nature."
Amy has four top competition rides, a wide client base and is in constant demand for training. Amy, who is hoping to compete for Britain at London 2012, currently competes with four horses and is based in West Sussex.
