International showjumper Anna Edwards has been a regular figure in the equestrian world for more than 15 years. She was introduced to horses by her parents at the age of four, and their constant help and support continues today. She started off on a flighty little pony named Blackie, and went on to be a winner with significant success in ponies, representing Great Britain in both eventing and showjumping.
In 2001, Anna chose to focus her attentions on showjumping, and she had success all through the levels. Her most successful year to date was 2010, where she made a stellar first appearance at Senior Nations Cup level, with the British team taking the honours. That year also saw her crowned Welsh Masters Champion and she was the winner of the prestigious Queen Elizabeth ll Cup at Hickstead.
Last year was a year of change for Anna, with several sales of top horses - most notably Unique lX, who was sold to Lord and Lady Harris and is now ridden by Tina Fletcher. The departure of a champion has paved the way for several more up and coming horses.
Anna now has a new string of horses, a selection of hugely talented youngsters, and the formidable Diaghilev leading the charge as her top horse. Follow Anna's blog through a year of training and competition, with a single goal in mind - Rio 2016.
