John Bailey has been fishing freshwater and salt, bait, lure and fly since he could crawl. Fishing has always been key in his life and is now his profession.

He has published over 45 books on the subject, has appeared in films worldwide, guides on four continents and writes various fishing columns. He advises tackle companies and tourist boards and is generally considered one of the best angling photographers. His articles appear throughout Europe, the UK and America.

John lives on the North Norfolk Coast, which is great for bass, sea trout and mackerel in the summer, and pike and roach in the marshland dykes throughout the winter. Although John has fished in over sixty countries throughout his career, he says that increasingly he is falling back in love with his native county.

John is a long term consultant for Hardy and Greys, the world famous tackle company and Fishery Director for the Kingfisher Lakes and Apartments. He is currently working on a major book on the brown trout.
