
Equine Sports Masseuse Katharine Jackson has been involved with horses all her life, working internationally in a variety of disciplines from high goal polo ponies in England, Australia and Spain, to race horses trained by Mark Todd in New Zealand.
Katharine qualified as an Equine Sports Massage therapist through Mary Bromiley, and received a BTEC Level Four Diploma in Human Sports Massage and an A Grade Certificate in Equine Exercise Physiology from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. Katharine works across the South of England on horses from all disciplines, including polo ponies, eventers and hunters, as well as their riders. By using appropriate sports massage and stretching techniques she aims to:
Enhance performance
Reduce the damaging effects of physical stress and fatigue
Prevent injuries
Improve range of movement
Boost recovery rates
A member of the Equine Sports Massage Association and the Sports Massage Association, Katharine regularly attends conferences and seminars and always works with veterinary permission, in accordance with the 1948 Veterinary Surgeons Act.
