Kevin Straut was born 15 November 1980 in Chesney, France and has become one of the most prominent French Professional riders by training with some of the best in the business.  Kevin began his professional career in 1995 gaining the title of Junior Champion of France. 

Among his past coaches are Delaveau (1993-1997), Michel Hecart (1998-1999), Michel Robert (1998), Albert Voorn (1999), and Bourdy (2000-2001). Kevin is currently working with the renowned Thierry Pomel. Kevin holds his bachelor in Literature, and has also studied breeding. He is a fan of sports in general.

Kevin was part of the winning 2008/9 Nations Cup team and then the biggest win of his young career was winning the title of European Champion at Windsor 2009. Since Aug 2010 Kevin has been ranked No.1 in the world on the FEI rankings list.
