Maureen Rogers is a pioneer and leading expert in the field of Equine CranioSacral Therapy work. She is the founder of Equine CranioSacral Workshops; an international education program which offers an extensive programme of study. Her pioneering efforts have opened doors and change lives for horses around the world.

Her interest in horses began as a child, when an Aunt took her trail riding. Summer holidays were then spent going away to riding camp. After her teens, Maureen drifted away from horses.

In the winter of 1994, Maureen suffered a severe neck injury in a snowboarding accident. The injury left her living in regular pain and inhibited what had been a very active life. It was suggested to her by a friend, who as a massage therapist, to try craniosacral therapy to treat the whiplash and within two sessions she felt significant improvement.

After several more sessions, Maureen felt 100%. Due to the very positive results she expereinced, Muareen decided to study human massage and craniosacral therapy. After graduating from massage school, she extensively studied human craniosacral, whilst also getting back into horses.

She was given a foal that had an injury and started to apply the craniosacral techniques learnt from the human studies. Willy the foal responded very well and before she knew it, phone calls were flooding in to treat horses. However, at this point there was no formal training available for craniosacral treatment of horses. The rest is history; Maureen applied what she had learnt for humans and was getting positive results. In 1999 she created the Equine CranioSacral Workshop series, which still exists today as the most extensive course of study available in this field.

Maureen travels internationally for teaching, lecturing and private consultations. She works with horses from all disciplines and her clients include competition horses, Grand Prix show jumpers, Olympic athletes and novice horses. Traveling year-round she brings her cutting edge principles to working with vets, equine physios, farriers, equine dentists, horse trainers and owners worldwide.

She is internationally sought out for her expertise in equine craniosacral work, rehab therapy skills and especially in treatment of conditions of headshaking, TMJ issues and biomechanics of the horse.

Her first DVD “Hope for Headshakers- A CranioSacral Approach to Equine Health.” has sold copies worldwide and has opened doors for horses who suffered with this condition. Maureen will release her new DVD 'Is it Posture or Conformation' in November 2010. For more information, visit her website at the link below.
