"I decided this year to just leave the yard and go to Badminton instead of working horses first. Previously I’ve ridden a few before leaving, but with a rider at home now I have no need.

I decided to look at a horse for sale on the way though; it was nice, but not quite what I was after. I am always on the look out for nice horses.

We arrived at Badminton at 2pm, and had a very easy time unloading everything which was ideal. I have a good spot in the field for the lorry too, so it all seems to be going very smoothly. Jasper (Tankers Town) is in a very privileged spot; in fact, I think he’s in one of the best stables. I hacked him around the park, as there is little point trying to school him because he's too excited. He knows his job so well that I could easily over train. I hacked him for just over an hour and he was still quite fresh at the end. He knows the park so well – this is his sixth time at Badminton. I finished my day with an early night."
