Charlie's progress and posh outings

"The week has flown by again – I’m a little worried that time is going too quickly for all my plans this winter, of which I have many. I went to the Jays on Monday with Bomber (Bomber), Tweedy (Silbalto) and Charlie (my new youngster). I hired the course and jumped them all around – they were very good as there were some seriously spooky fillers! Charlie has excelled himself by jumping straight over them all – he needs more stamina though as he is exhausted in 15 minutes. This will come with work and strength. After the show jumping practice they all went for XC practice on Tuesday. A glorious day – I was in a T-shirt during the end of October, which is unheard of but I’m loving it! I think the horses were too as they were exceptionally well behaved. Bomber is now becoming very grown up and jumps ditches, logs, water and drops all by himself. Charlie must've jumped some XC fences before or he was particularly natural as he jumped everything in good style. Another box ticked.

On Tuesday evening we went to the Event Horse Owners Association dinner in London. It was absolutely fantastic and had a wonderful time and also won a chalet for ten in Meribel for a week at a very reasonable price for a week’s skiing in January, which couldn't have come at a better time as this was exactly what I was looking for! I love skiing and particularly Meribel. Well, that’s one holiday sorted!

The week was also filled with various trips to see friends in London, Tunbridge Wells and Bury St Edmunds. I do love having the winter to catch up; my friends are very understanding and used to my intermittent contact. But, along with my numerous meals out, is a necessity to work off the calories so I've been visiting the swimming pool regularly; I would go everyday if I could but sadly time doesn't permit.

I've also been working hard on my ideas to expand my website, horses, owners and sponsorship so watch this space."
