"Another busy week at Contessa! On Thursday we had a very successful John Adams Show Jumping Clinic with 13 horse and rider combinations jumping various courses and size fences.
Well done to Sarah for sitting tight on a rather spirited Real and Tarra - see photos! Everyone had a great day with a few thrills and spills along the way...
On Saturday I held a ‘Have a feel for Piaffe’ course; I started with a demo on Queijada to show Piaffe mounted and then clients learnt how to teach piaffe in hand, with my experienced super star Arabs Ella and Zeus before having a go on my Advanced horses Marcus and Pik Dame, who behaved very well. Everybody thought it was a wonderful feeling and were really pleased with the experience of being able to have a go at this very advanced movement.
On Sunday I was at an agility competition with my dog, Charlie (it can’t always be about the horses!) leaving senior instuctor Dawn and Jade at the yard to conclude the week with an Open Unaffiliated Dressage Competition. Congratulations to Debbie and Detzky for taking 1st in the Elementary 44 and well done to everyone who took part.
Next week we look forward to our bi-monthly John Bowen Dressage Clinic and then yet another busy weekend with a Body Sculpting Afternoon half day course on Saturday, and a Dressage day course on Sunday. Where would the fun be in a quiet life!?"
