Why no stable yard is complete without a yard dog!

When we asked on our Facebook page for photos of your 'yard dogs', we were overwhelmed by the response.

It seems hundreds of you are lucky enough to own dogs who like nothing better than to hang out all day at the stables, go to shows, sit in the horsebox, guard the horses or 'lend a hand' with the yard work!

By the looks of it, we think yard dogs also have a rather impressive talent - sleeping anywhere and everywhere.

Furry and famous

Even top riders wouldn't be without their canine counterparts. Dressage rider Andrew Gould sent us this lovely photo of his dog Addy.

"This is our 14 year old terrier Addy. My wife Polly and I have had him since we were 17, and he is loved and adored by all our clients, grooms and the kids," Andrew explains.

Browse through our online gallery of your favourite yard dogs (below), and keep sending us your favourite pictures of your dog enjoying his or her time at the yard. Email one clear image to webeditor@horseandcountry.tv - with a bit of information about your dog - and we'll add the best images to our photo gallery.
