  • Hi there

  • "Hello, my name is Jackie.

I have just rescued a 12-week-old puppy that keeps going to pee in its bed or the other dogs bed. What do I do?"

  • "We have a two-year-old border terrier. He always seems hungry in that when we walk him - he always has his nose to the ground and is hunting. I have spoken to several border owners who complain of the same thing and attribute it to their hunting genes. Can we change this behaviour? It prevents us from being able to let him run without a leash for fear he will get into something and devour it.

His vet says he is in perfect shape and should not gain any weight. He eats 200grams/day of fresh cow heart/meat with an accompanionment of rice or quaker oats, with our miscellaneous left over vegetables. This is at the advice of his breeder (we are in France).

    Any advice?" Theodosia Brinitzer, France

  • "My ten-month-old Labrador is a joy... most the time. When I train him in the garden, he's brilliant; he always comes when called and is very obedient. I try to train out on walks too, but he won't return when he's called. What can I do?" David Adams, Surrey

  • "I have a six-year-old male Labrador, who is trained to the gun and goes out with our local shoot. The problem is he keeps picking up even when we're out on a walk. How do I stop him from picking up when he's not working?" Katie Brodie, Surrey
