Alice was born and raised in London in a non horsy environment. As soon as Alice showed an interest in horses, age seven, her dad told her they were "dangerous at both ends and uncomfortable in the middle."

Alice started riding as soon as she could walk. Her mother, Sarah, rode competitively in showing, competing at HOYS and RIHS, as well as producing point-to-pointers, so riding runs in her family.

Amy Stovold is one of the country’s leading dressage riders and has recently been selected by the World Class (2009-2011) Development Programme aiming for Olympic medals and top international competition.  

When Anky first started riding, she was most interested in show jumping. But after convincing her father to buy Prisco, her first horse, she soon discovered the wild side to her new jumping partner. Unable to control his jumping, she took up dressage to channel his energy.

Anna started having a lesson once a fortnight at her local riding school aged nine, which lead to her becoming a helper and riding lots of naughty ponies. BHSI Sue Payne then suggested Anna train for her BHS exams at Talland School of Equitation in Gloucestershire.

In his competition career, Carl has amassed a staggering 44 national dressage titles and has been British Dressage National Champion five times. He has competed in three Olympics, one World Equestrian Games, four European Championships and a World Cup Dressage Final.

Charlie Unwin is a Sport Psychology Coach specialising in equestrian sport.

Edward began riding at age fourteen, with riding association ‘De Spreng’. He trained at Rien van der Schaft, but later he moved to Anky van Grunsven's yard. With her help and with the extra aid of her husband Sjef Janssen, Edward has achieved his greatest successes.

Emile is one of the UK’s top international dressage riders and trainers and has represented Great Britain at World, European and Olympic level. He is a British Dressage judge and the World Class coach for the National Start and Potential squad.

Emma started riding at the age of five at her aunt’s stables. She showed working hunter ponies and evented before eventually concentrating on dressage.
