Results from our recent H&C TV survey suggests that self-sufficiency is firmly in vogue among the 52 per cent of you that told us you live in the village or country. A staggering 32 per cent of you told us that you own livestock – 18 per cent of which are chickens, confirming our suspicions that poultry is far from paltry.

72 per cent of you own a horse, with 49 per cent of you lucky enough to ride every day. 73 per cent of you own a dog, and 69 per cent are under 44-years-old.

49 per cent of you indulge your love of the countryside and horses by watching H&C TV programmes daily, with a further 40 per cent tuning in at least once a week.
