H&C is thrilled for German based Brit Emma Hindle, who recorded a double win at Wiesbaden CDI (29 to 30 May 2009). Emma took both the Grand Prix (70.89%) and Grand Prix Kür (73.95%) on her Olympic partner, Lancet II. The pair rode to victory with a new Kür ridden to the Bryan Adams soundtrack from the film 'Spirit'.
"There nothing better than to hear the British National anthem playing, especially in Germany,” a delighted Hindle told British Dressage. "I was very pleased with Lancet in the Grand Prix; I made a mistake going into the two time changes when I tried to ride him too forward, but that was my error. He felt fantastic throughout the test and we’re getting back to some of the lightness and energy he showed in Hong Kong."
"The music of our new Kür fits him very nicely, but we’ve got some adjustments to make before Rotterdam. It started very well, but the timing of the canter tour needs to be rearranged as we were running behind the music by the end.”
Emma Hindle and Lancet’s next competition will be Rotterdam CDIO, 18 to 22 June, and Britain’s European Championship team will be announced on Friday 14th August.
