
It's been a successful and exciting trip to Fontainbebleau for Team GBR, who took both the team gold medal, and an individual gold and silver medal at the Senior HSBC FEI European Eventing Championships this weekend, H&C is delighted to hear.
Team GBR held their position following table-topping dressage scores on Thursday and Friday, and then stormed across country on Saturday, posting five clear rounds out of six to retain their team lead by 57.9 penalty points.
In the show jumping yesterday, Team GBR held their nerve to clinch team gold with a final penalty score of 160.50.
Individual gold was won by Tina Cook and her fantastic 11-year-old ride, Miners Frolic and individual silver was clinched by Senior team debutant, Piggy French.
Team Performance Manager Yogi Breisner said: "The whole squad are delighted and the coaches are over the moon about how they have all performed. It was a brilliant result for Great Britain to win the eigth consecutive Gold Medal at the European Championships."

“There was a fantastic team spirit and Team GBR led from day one. Everyone worked well together and in many cases achieved personal best performances.”
Mother of two and double Gold-Medalist Tina Cook says: “What a horse! Henry (Miners Frolic) was fantastic throughout and really tried his heart out for me. He is a horse of a lifetime. The whole Championship was a truly amazing experience and the team morale was fantastic. I still can’t quite believe it!”
William Fox-Pitt, on winning his seventh team Gold Medal at a European Championships says: “It was very exciting to be part of the British team winning its eighth consecutive Gold Medal! I was thrilled with my horse Idalgo who performed brilliantly throughout the competition.”
Gold Medal winning team member Oliver Townend says :“I am really pleased for Yogi and the team and look forward to getting out again and competing next season.”
