Plans to hold the equestrian events at the London 2012 Olympics in Greenwich Park have been controvertial from the outset. Now is the chance to have your say on the proposals.
Seb Coe, chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, is keen to quash concerns over the use of the park: "The Games present an unparalleled opportunity for local people of all ages to get involved. I believe that Greenwich Park can play an important role in delivering Games of which we can all be proud. I hope you agree and will give your support to these plans."
But the group NOGOE (No to Greenwich Olympic Equestrian Events) maintains that the event will damage the park. The park, a Unesco World Heritage Site would be closed to the public and despite huge investment, there would be no physical legacy for the equestrian community in the UK.
