
It's little surprise after such a fantastic year that Oliver Townend tops British Eventing's top 100 rider list for 2009. He is the first person, other than William Fox-Pitt, Andrew Nicholson and Mark Todd to top the list since 1999.
Oliver topped the list with 1643 points, with William second on 1557 and Andrew on 1419.
The highest rating female rider was Piggy French on 1992, with Georgie Spence being the highest under-21s scorer in 15th place.
Miners Frolic, ridden by Tina Cook, led the top 100 horses list, followed by Carousel Quest, ridden by Oliver Townend. William Fox-Pitt's ride Idalgo was in third place.
