Top equestrian venue Hickstead’s end-of-season Polo Ball is joining forces this year with one of the country’s leading equestrian charities, the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund.
The Ball, to be held at Hickstead on Saturday, March 13, has earned itself the reputation of being one of polo’s great social occasions. “We are delighted to be supporting the MDIRF. Hickstead’s members know how to party, and with demand for tickets higher than ever, this year’s ball will be the biggest and best yet,” said Polo Secretary Emma Cook.
As well as the presentation of awards, guests will enjoy a sumptuous four-course dinner and Champagne Pommery reception, followed by a fundraising auction with celebrity compere and dancing to a live band.
The Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund, founded by the Davies family in memory of event rider Mark Davies who died in a fall at Burghley Horse Trials, provides financial, medical and practical help to injured riders and their families.
“This is a great opportunity for equestrian enthusiasts to support this important charity, whilst using it as an excuse to dress up and have a great evening with friends,” said Emma.
