Carl Hester celebrates double win in Spain

Carl Hester has continued the Brits' great form at the Sunshine Tour in Spain. Carl rode Sasha Stewart's nine-year-old stallion Uthopia to convincing victories in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special at the CDI3* show.
The pair scored 73.8% in the Grand Prix Special on Monday to win over fellow Briton Maria Eilberg on Two Sox with 68.8% and Germany’s Sylvia Zimmer on Priboy 5 on 68%.
In the Grand Prix on Sunday, Carl and Uthopia scored 71.1%, with Spain’s Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz and Fuego XII second on 68.9% and Portugal’s Mafalda Galiza Mendez on D’Artagnan in third on 68.4%.
Bad weather has caused delays in the dressage, but the Brits have had a good shot, including wins in the five year old class and at small tour level.
