Exciting line up for Badminton 2010

The list of Accepted Entries for Badminton 2010 demonstrates that this year’s event promises to be as exhilarating for spectators as it does for the riders. The list is packed with world class names and legendary horses, giving spectators a chance to see their heroes in action.

85 horses are set to run in the beautiful grounds of the Duke of Beaufort’s estate, and if any of the accepted entries withdraw, there is an impressive waiting list of contenders.

Last year’s winner Oli Townend is pursuing the Grand Slam and has four horses on the accepted entries list: Golden Hue, ODT Master Rose, Carousel Quest and Mayhem III. William Fox-Pitt also has four horses on the list: Cool Mountain, Macchiato, Seacookie TSF and Idalgo.

Eventing legends Jeanette Brakewell and Mary King will also be competing, with Jeanette running two horses (Take It 2 The Limit and Chill Out Bob) and Mary King running three: Imperial Cavalier, King Temptress and Apache Sauce.

Up and coming rider Emily Llewellyn is running two horses, Pardon Me II and Society Spice. Fans’ favourite Tina Cook will be running Miners Frolic while Zara Phillips will be running two horses, Glenbuck and Poilu.

H&C blogger Sharon Hunt will be competing Tankers Town, her Olympic ride, and blogging daily from the event.

Equestrian competitions are one of the few sports that offer viewers at home an exciting experience, and H&C will be at the event to ensure you don’t miss out. Watch this space for more information.
