
The Royal Festival of the Horse has announced its lune up for this summer's show.
The Festival is an exciting new equestrian event at Stoneleigh Park, in Warwickshire, from the 9th to the 11th of July. Top riders from all the Olympic equestrian disciplines will compete and hold demonstrations, with a different discipline headlining in the main stadium each day.
Friday: World Class Dressage
The current World number one and dressage World Cup title holder rider Edward Gal will hold a masterclass in the main arena on Friday, and the day will culminate in the UK's top riders competing in a freestyle dressage to music.
Saturday: Top Class Show Jumping
Britain's elite show jumpers including Ben Maher, Tim Stockdale, William Whitaker and Laura Renwick will compete in a testing 1.60m jump off competition and speed class
Sunday: Express Eventing
The culmination of the event will be Sunday's Express Eventing; the compact stadium format of 3-day eventing. Young stars of the future will compete in dressage to music, indoor cross country and show jumping.
Parelli
Throughout the Festival, Pat and Linda Parelli - in their only European visit of 2010 - will perform demonstrations and hold seminars in the Parelli Pavilion.
Showing, Pony Club, Demos and Heavy Horses
Over the three days, the main arena programme will be complemented by Royal Show showing classes, Pony Club Musical Ride, a dedicated heavy horse area, farriery demonstrations and national championships plus Horse Box Village will display the latest in horse transport. Across the Festival, over 200 top quality stands will provide a shopping heaven.
