Watch our new series to secure your success at Prelim

Riders planning to compete or already competing at Preliminary level dressage are to get a helping hand from us here at horseandcountry.tv.

Stay calm and collected when competing

Visitors to our site will be treated to a new six part video series that shows them How to Succeed at Preliminary Dressage, starting today. The series sponsored by Equifeast is presented by Jenny Rudall with expert trainer and rider Keith Robertson of Wild Farm Dressage. It offers essential information on dressage legal tack and clothing, how to ride the Prelim movements for maximum marks and how to translate your score sheet and improve the marks next time. Trainer Keith Robertson passes on invaluable knowledge to help you stay calm and collected during your test, as well as enlightening secrets on what the judges are looking for, how to gain extra marks and  where to make timely corrections.

Created with your input

“Visitors to our website are very vocal about what they want us to make videos about,” says senior editor and director of How to Succeed at Preliminary Dressage, Katie Gilmour. “Many of them asked questions about how to ride Prelim movements correctly, and their questions fed into the planning of this series. Visitors to the site can watch the videos for free and on demand anywhere in the world, enabling them to get a quick confidence boost before getting in the saddle and riding their test.”

The first of six episodes is available on our website today - watch it now. We'll release an episode a week for the next six weeks, then the series in its entirety will be available on horseandcountry.tv on an ongoing basis from 25 October 2010.
