Ellerstina defeated La Dolfina 14-13 in the 117th Argentine Open Final on Sunday 12th December 2010, and thereby completed the final leg of the coveted Triple Crown in Argentina. Ellerstina won the Final in dramatic style, which was delayed a day after just one chukka due to heavy rain with Ellerstina holding an overnight lead of 2-1. Ellerstina's Juan Martin Nero was named MVP.
