The idea of Robbie Williams composing a track for you would send most people weak at the knees, but Richard Davison will be keeping his knees firmly in his saddle despite the cheeky Take That star penning the track for his Olympic freestyle.
Williams will be working with his long time collaborator Guy Chambers to create the freestyle music for Richard in the run up to 2012.
According to the dressage website, Eurodressage.com, the track will feature some of Williams' most famous songs including Let Me Entertain You and Rock DJ. The melody will be played by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra with a special recording of Robbie's vocals.
The Williams collaboration is not the first time Richard Davison has worked with a top star for his freestyle music. He has also had music provided by Sir Elton John.
Davison explained: “This has been the brainchild of Hiscox Artemis’ co-owner the Countess of Derby; she has made it all happen and how lucky am I? Both Artemis and I love the music - it has got a great beat and really makes him rock.”
Eurodressage.com reported that IE Music, speaking on behalf of Robbie Williams, said: "Hiscox Artemis’ expressive movement fits the dynamics and beat of the music perfectly. It would be wonderful for Robbie to see Richard and Artemis perform live to his songs - and what better setting could there be than in the Olympic arena on home soil.”
We've been debating in the H&C office who we'd choose to compose Kur music for us. H&C's Jenny Rudall says she'd opt for Robbie's bandmate Gary Barlow... Anything for the chance to meet him! Who would you choose to compose your music? Let us know by using the Comments facility below.
