Famous DJ to compose Rath and Totilas' freestyle music

The composer of Matthias Rath and Totilas' first freestyle has been announced - and it's going to be an emotional number.

Balve debut

Rath and Totilas will debut their new music during the German Championships in Balve and on his website, Rath said: "The crowd can let themselves be swept away by very emotional orchestral music."

Friend of the family

The world-famous DJ and music producer, Paul van Dyk, a friend of the Rath-Linsenhoff family, has created an impressive piece of classic freestyle music after just three months of intensive work.

"We are delighted with this musical masterpiece, which matches Totilas and his movements perfectly. A shiver ran down my spine when I heard the music for the first time," explained Matthias Rath. "I hope that we will be able to conjure up a smile on the faces of the spectators with our freestyle performance. I am extremely grateful to Paul van Dyk."

First freestyle composition

It is the first time that Mr. van Dyk has produced and composed a piece of music including an orchestra recording for a freestyle routine.

"First of all I studied and analysed Totilas' movements while he completed his daily training with Matthias. Then I determined the timing, the tempo and the beat for the freestyle music," commented Mr. van Dyk. "I flew to London for the week to produce the first classical music layout together with my long-standing songwriter partner, Johnny MacDaid."

"Producing a piece of freestyle music for such a world dressage star, is a great honour," said Paul van Dyk.
