As the CIC 2* Olympic test event at Greenwich Park draws to a close, it is safe to say that the test was a great success. With praise from riders on the stabling and facilities, the vast majority seem happy with the decision to host the Games at Greenwich Park. While some believe the surface in the arena needs more work (watch our videos below to find out why), it is generally accepted there is time to improve this and the stunning London skyline provides the perfect backdrop for all three disciplines.
This afternoon's show jumping competition provided a nail biting finish to the event. The show jumping phase followed an Olympic format, with riders jumping first for their team and then the top 25 going through to jump again as individuals. The winner of the CIC 2* invitational was Piggy French - and what a season she has had so far! - with Michael Jung in second and Pippa Funnell in third.
Watch our video interviews below with Piggy, Pippa Funnell, Clayton Fredericks, Mark Todd, Alex Hiu Tian, William Fox-Pitt and Canada's Waylon Roberts to find out how they felt the course rode and their thoughts on the arena surface.
