This Monday sees the premiere of a new episode of Getting to Greenwich, starring one of Britain's best medal hopes, dressage rider Laura Bechtolsheimer.
Horse & Country TV's series has followed eight of Britain's top equestrian athletes as they strive tomake the team for London 2012. The final programme features dressage star Laura, currently number three in the world rankings.
In the show Laura shows us around her state of the art yard, talks about how pilates benefits her riding and explains how sports psychology has helped turn her into a genuine medal contender. We meet her family, who have played a key role in her success, and viewers can watch Laura train with her father.
The cameras follow Laura behind the scenes at Olympia, where she won the Grand Prix Freestyle on Mistral Horjis.
Overall, as with all of the Getting to Greenwich episodes, we gain a real insight into what takes to compete at the very highest levels of horse sport.
"I am looking forward to seeing which bits they use for my episode and how it all comes across, I really hope it looks good asI have never been filmed for something like that before," says Laura, who will be watching with great interest on Monday night.
The series is produced by Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes’ production company, Harkaway Media, and is sponsored by NAF, Official Suppliers to the British Equestrian Teams.
Getting to Greenwich will be broadcast at 9pm on Monday 16th January on Horse & CountryTV, Sky Channel 280. Watch a preview below:
